The Prints

All art featured on Art & Health is original work by photographer/physician Howard Grill. He personally prints, inspects, approves, and then signs each piece.

Prints on paper are produced using museum-quality archival inks on thick (310gsm weight, 15.6 mils thick, 100% cotton rag base) Canson Platine Rag fine art paper. You can both see and feel the quality of the work. Both the media and the ink used are archival substrates and thus these prints are guaranteed not to fade, show color shifts, or lose their vibrancy.

We can also provide prints on metal, acrylic, and canvas. These types of artwork are produced at specialty facilities that utilize the most advanced methods for printing on these unique media. When it comes to pricing, we charge a fee for use of the file, with no further markup from what the printing facility charges. The artwork is shipped directly to you from the printer. Please contact us with inquiries regarding prints on these specialty media.

The Sizes

Art & Health prints are original artwork with extraordinary attention paid to detail. They are sized the way the artist envisioned them in order to bring out their beauty. Thus, sizes are not ‘standard’. Print sizes are provided by giving a specific length for the short side of the work with the length of the long size being dependent on the exact shape/crop of the piece.

The following sizes are personally printed by the artist:

Medium Size Prints On Paper ($100):

16 inches on the SHORT side including a 1/2 inch border. The long side is up to 24 inches (longer for panoramas) in length, depending on the specific shape of the artwork.

Large Size Prints On Paper ($225):

20 inches on the SHORT side including a 1/2 inch border. The long side is up to 30 inches (longer for panoramas) in length, depending on the specific shape of the artwork.

Gallery Size Prints On Paper ($325):

24 inches on the SHORT side including a 1/2 inch border. The long side is up to 36 inches (longer for panoramas) in length, depending on the specific shape of the artwork.

When estimating size and wall-space please take into account that matting and framing a print will typically add 9-12 inches to each dimension, assuming 3-4 inches of matting and 1-2 inches of framing on each side.

Please contact us for prints larger than Gallery Size or for custom sizing.

Framing

Framing always plays an important role in the final appearance of any artwork. Offering two or three standard framing options simply would not do justice to these beautiful pieces and could potentially limit how and where they could be used to decorate your facility, office, or home.

For these reasons, Art & Health provides unframed artwork, allowing you to have the pieces completed by a specialty framer that can provide many potential options for matting and framing. This allows each piece to be optimized for display in any location.

When estimating size and wall-space please take into account that matting and framing a print will typically add 9-12 inches to each dimension, assuming 3-4 inches of matting and 1-2 inches of framing on each side.
